This is not a Barbie your grandma will buy for you. Barbie was always a little bit controversy. Is the Barbie doll the one which is the model of how woman should look? That question is if that is the high standard of how woman body should look like, than should we point our fingers to manufactures of this doll and call them guilty for anorexia, bulimia and much more? If a doll should represent the era, than I am sure it is not such a big deal if she has tattoos.

Meet Tokidoki Barbie, the newest addition to the iconic doll collection. She’s edgy, with pink hair, sky-high stilettos, and a cactus-covered pet named Bastardino. Tokidoki Barbie’s upper body is covered with exotic-looking tattoos: A large flower covers her chest, and a tiger curls up her neck.

But her body art got some parents pretty upset, saying that a doll like that is sending “wrong signals” to little girls?? Tokidoki’s tattoos are all about art, and their creators see nothing bad about it, since tattoos are growing art. It is said that 1 out of 4 Americans from age 18 to 50 have one or two tattoos on their body.

This Barbie is very expensive, more than $50, and will not be reachable to all the children, so is there really need for so much worries?
