Coney Island has a very interesting festival called Mermaid Parade. People on Coney Island are very proud of it, but if you are not local this may look pretty strange to you. It is an unique parade celebrating the sea and of course the legendary sea creatures mermaids. It is one crazy event, but I am sure you will enjoy it if you find yourself there.
